The undergraduate program in Visual Arts - Teaching Degree aims to prepare professionals for production, research, criticism and teaching of Visual Arts, including in their education “the development of perception, reflection and creative potential, within the specificity of visual thinking”, and also providing a general and citizenship education, based on the respect to diversity and differences. Curriculum structure provides teachers with the ability to teach Visual Arts in Elementary and Secondary Education, as “multipliers to the exercise of artistic sensitivity” and capable of working in several artistic activities.

Licentiates of Visual Arts may work as a teacher in Elementary and Secondary Education and also in mediation and qualification of other artists. Having a specific education, shared with Bachelor of Arts, you can work in the circuits of contemporary arts as an artist, curator or critic, in addition to the areas of audio-visual production, photography and graphic design.
