The undergraduate program in Physics- Teaching Degree aims to prepare professionals to work as Physics teachers in Elementary and Secondary Education and in extension programs; preparing them to keep on studying in graduate programs with a focus on Physics teaching; providing opportunities for solid scientific and technical formation in Physics connected to Education; and encouraging the development of an inquisitive profile, always searching for updates, catching up with fast-scientific advancements in the area.
Graduates in Physics develop their teaching activities in High Schools, with Physics, and in Elementary schools, with Sciences, combining theory and practice and the current developments of Physics as a science.
Teachers of Physics present an educator profile, i.e., engaged to educate and spread the scientific knowledge in different social instances, either through teaching a formal education or new scientific ways of education.
