The undergraduate program in Nursing aims to provide conditions for technical, scientific, political, humanistic and ethical learning, including the development of specific skills and abilities of a generalist nurse, who practices care as well as has administrative and educational roles, regarding provision of care to the human being in preventive, healing and rehabilitation aspects; the management of nursing services in hospitals, companies and collective health institutions; and planning, coordination and execution of public health programs.
Bachelors of Nursery may work in areas such as public health care, hospitals, women’s health, child and adolescent health, adult and elderly health, urgency and emergency, worker’s health, surgical nursing, mental health, esthetics, management, teaching and researching.
Nurses are health professionals with generalist, humanistic, critical and reflexive education, qualified on the basis of scientific and intellectual accuracy and based on ethical principles, capable of knowing and interfering on the most prevalent health-sickness problems and situations, as well as working with social responsibility and commitment to citizenship as a promoter of human health.
