The undergraduate program in Letters aims to have professionals qualified to demonstrate mastery of verbal language and metalanguages, as well as understanding of linguistic and literary phenomena, thus enabling the production and critical reception of multimodal texts of different genres. In addition, students will develop the ability to reflect theoretically on language, recognize linguistic and cultural diversities, and have mastery of new technologies, knowledge on Libras and socio-environmental, ethical and aesthetic issues related to ethnic-racial, gender, sexual, religious, generational and socio-cultural diversity.
