The undergraduate program in Economics aims to prepare professionals to use the area instrumental in the analysis of socioeconomic phenomena, ethically and with quality. Furthermore, the graduates will be able to plan, design, program and carry out economic-financial analysis of investments and financing of any nature, as well as elaborate studies, analyses and legal documents pertinent to Economics, the Environment, Foreign Trade Policy and International Economy.

Economists develop since the beginning of education the ability to be versatile in terms of professional area. You can practice activities in private organizations, institutes and in the three government spheres, Municipal, State and Federal. There is also the opportunity to work as independent consultant and as an expert.
Professional profile
Throughout the courses, students will develop the interest in analyzing and evaluating economic information; investigating about historical-geographic aspects related to the Economy; developing skills for theoretical interpretation and for scientific activities; and increasing the capacity for logical-analytical reasoning, critical reading, and written and oral expression, with logical argumentation.
