The undergraduate program in Biochemical Engineering aims to provide engineers with knowledge in biotechnological industrial processes applied to planning, developing and managing bioprocesses and capable of integrating within social, ethical, ecological, economic, cultural and scientific dimensions.
Bachelors of Biochemical Engineering are able to work in the biopharmaceutical areas; bioenergy; biological waste treatment; industrial application enzymes; food and drinks; biofertilizers; biopolymers, research and development.
Biochemical Engineers shall have a wide capability of social innovation, with a systemic scientific and technical qualification, which enable them to work collectively and in a critical and ethical way, being social and environmentally responsible regarding activities in industrial processes of biotechnology, also proposing and creating solutions for a sustainable development.
