  • Civil Construction Support Service

    The Civil Construction Support Service (“SAsCC”) is an extension project of the FURG Engineering School that, since 1982, has been developing actions to support civil constructions for low-income families or NGOs.

    Putting together the technical knowledge and academic expertise, SAsCC is a consolidated extension activity which allows a high-quality service to the population. It helps in the regional development and in the extended formation of the students who take part in the project.

    Services offered

    Popular Housing Project

    SAsCC offers land assessment of the property, development of the program requirements for the construction planning, and the engineering and architecture projects for buildings up to 80m2 without slab.

    Usucaptio Projects

    The Project includes the land assessment and gives the technical opinion so that a legal process might be started in the Public Defenses of the State or Union.

    Property Regularization Project

    The service includes the property assessment, engineering design, technical report and documentation to the Rio Grande City Hall for the regularization of properties up to 150 m² of built area.

    Special Projects

    These are projects not fitting in any other services offered, such as: division agreement, accessibility projects, fire prevention and protection, pathologies analysis, among others.

    Requirements to request a Project

    - Proof of income of no more than three minimum salaries
    - Proof of property ownership, for new building projects
    - Proof of paid IPTU (tax), for new building projects

  • Legal Assistance Office

    The Legal Assistance Office (“Emaj”) integrates the Social Law Practice Laboratory in Law School and is intended for the training of students taking undergraduate courses or doing legal residence. This training focuses on technical and humane aspects by fostering a suitable setting for the development of several competences, especially the work with law.

    Emaj offers assistance to the economically and socially underprivileged community under the terms of its regiment, free of charge, making referrals to offices and scheduling appointments for people who have processes in progress. The working hours are from Tuesday to Friday, from 8:30 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 17:30. These schedules may change due to the academic calendar and forensic recess.

  • Accounting and Fiscal Support Center

    The Accounting and Fiscal Support Center (“Naf”) is an extension project developed by FURG with the support of the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service. Its goal is to assist the low-income population in their accounting and taxation problems.

    Undergraduates and professors of Accounting assist the low-income taxpayers for free to help them solve tax and social security procedures by clarifying doubts and guiding them on issues in the accounting and taxation area.

    Services offered

    - Help with the elaboration and orientation about the Annual Income Tax Adjustment Statement
    - Help with the registration and information data of the Individual Taxpayer’s Registration (“CPF”)
    - Help with the registration and information data of the Employer Identification Number (“CNPJ”)
    - Help with the issuance and information about Debt Clearance Certificate of Individual and Legal Entity
    - Help in Consulting Tax situation
    - Information and help in regularizing suspended Individual Taxpayer’s Registration (“CPF”)
    - Information and help in preparing the request for exemption of Annual Tax Income for those who suffer from serious diseases
    - Orientation and help in preparing requests for exemption of tax (“IPI/OF”) for those who buy vehicles and suffer from visual, mental or physical disability
    - General Information about Rural Land Tax (“ITR”)
    - Help with the registration and general information about Individual Micro Entrepreneur (“MEI”)
